Thicket:
I had a great time shooting with my good friend Bo at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens yesterday afternoon… I got a few really cool shots which I will uploading over the next few days.
For this shot, I was trying to get a feel for the depth and texture of walking in among bamboo. There is light filtering down… motion from the wind… and always the verticality of the largest of the grass family. In retrospect, trying to compose a few of the shoots up front would have made a stronger image, but I still like this one.
