Reverence:
This museum was dedicated to the brave pioneers who returned to Israel as part of the Zionist movement, farming, protecting and building. The photos all reminded me of the photos we americans get out of the wild west and the great depression. Strong eyes glaring out of haggard faces, daring the viewer to try and take what they have build out of the dust. Tired men and fearless women, holding agriculutural tools and weapons, ready to harvest crops or lives. It was quite moving, and really amazing to see what they did. What was even more amazing is how recent all this was. Many of these brave souls still live, and it’s not surprising to me anymore how dear the Israelis hold their land. You have to respect that.
